With a 10:1 student-to-faculty ratio, our students experience the unique level of student-faculty commitment that can only be found at a private college. Hiram pairs an ideal student-to-faculty ratio with a range of majors and minors, and a plethora of real-world experience through internships and experiential learning opportunities. Our 500 plus acre biological field station offers students opportunities that can’t be found on most campuses including caring for 30 plus onsite animal ambassadors, rehabilitating wildlife, field research, and maintaining several natural areas under the direction of faculty and professional staff.

Campus life at our eclectic liberal arts college provides students with a home away from home, and we are conveniently centrally located between Akron, Youngstown, and Cleveland, Ohio. Hiram College offers a wide range of sports, clubs, and organizations, and we encourage students to be involved in campus activities and functions. The field station also hosts a variety of events throughout the year aimed at getting all students involved in environmental outreach, learning about native wildlife, and campus sustainability.
