The University offers ‘sandwich’ courses, which are developed in conjunction with global employers and industry, where students have the chance to complete a 12-month paid work placement as part of their degree.

International Foundation Year:

• Academic: 
• Good high school graduation grades or equivalent academic study

• English language: 
• SELT (UKVI IELTS or Trinity Test) equivalent to IELTS 4.5 overall (min 4.0 in writing and no lower than 4.0 all other skills)*

*To ensure that students are adequately prepared for the IFY Health & Human Science route, applicants should have studied Biology and two other relevant subjects such as Physics, Chemistry or Physical Education or Maths, at equivalent grade C + required for Health Science degrees.

International Year One:

• Academic: One or more of the following:
• Excellent (senior) high school graduation grades
• Completed A Levels, IB or an internationally-recognised Foundation Year programme
• Completed the first year of an HND or Advanced Diploma
• In the first year of study on a relevant undergraduate degree
• Experience: Relevant work experience (for mature students only)

• English language:
• Academic IELTS for UKVI 5.5 (or equivalent)*

*If you do not need a Student visa, or are exempted in another way, we can accept equivalent proof of English.

Pre-Master’s:

• Academic: One or more of the following:
• Recognised higher/advanced diploma in a related subject area
• Recognised degree in related field (e.g. BSC Business Studies)
• Honours degree in any subject (e.g. BA International Relations)

• English language:
• Academic IELTS for UKVI score of 5.5 (with 5.5 in all subskills)*

*If you do not need a Student visa, or are exempted in another way, we can accept equivalent proof of English.
