A top student experience:
The University of Huddersfield was rated gold across overall rating, student experience and student outcomes in the TEF 2023 outcomes. Unlike some larger cities, Huddersfield offers a relatively low cost of living, giving you more for your money. This means it’s easier to enjoy all that Huddersfield, the University and the surrounding areas have to offer.
With a thriving campus community, you’ll find 120 nationalities represented at the University and more than 100 student-run clubs for you to join. There’s something for every interest, ranging from sports and music to academic, politics and religion. And if you think something’s missing, you can always create your own.
Gain practical experience:
The University of Huddersfield is one of the top universities in the UK for providing students with work placements to ensure they develop practical career skills alongside the theoretical knowledge gained through their degree. The University offers ‘sandwich’ courses, which are developed in conjunction with global employers and industry, where students have the chance to complete a 12-month paid work placement as part of their degree.
