- Rowdy the Roadrunner: Rowdy, UTSA's mascot since 1977, represents the spirit and excitement of the Roadrunner community.
- Birds Up! Hand Sign: A symbol of UTSA pride commonly seen at athletic events, graduations, and other celebrations, this gesture forms a roadrunner's head and tail.
- The Fountain of Luck: One of the most recognizable landmarks at UTSA, the Sombrilla Fountain brings both good and bad luck depending on when you touch it.
