American University of the Caribbean School of MedicineRequirements
American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (AUC), founded in 1978, has more than 6,900 graduates and is a major contributor of physicians to the United States healthcare system. AUC offers a US-style curriculum designed to prepare graduates to be competitive for placement in postgraduate medical education programs. AUC is distinguished by providing students with international learning experiences, fostering a diverse learning environment, and encouraging and nurturing the commitment to community engagement and social accountability.
While AUC began as a university in the Caribbean more than 40 years ago, their vision has long extended across borders into the global medical community. Students can choose to study at one of their two campus locations: Cupecoy, Sint Maarten and Preston, England. Their collaboration with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) in Preston, England has expanded their global footprint by bringing a US-modeled curriculum to students studying in the United Kingdom. AUC's growing partnerships with hospitals and healthcare organizations around the world afford students the chance to train in multiple healthcare systems while learning from international leaders and diverse patient populations. AUC is committed to educating medical students allover the word who possess the drive and ability to succeed in medical school and become excellent physicians.
